Electrical Authorization & Compliance

Authorized electrical installer registered with the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority. Management, self-inspection, and installation certificates for industrial electrical installations in Sweden.

Authorized Electrical Installer — what it means

Under Swedish regulation ELSÄK-FS 2017:3, electrical installation work must be performed by, or under the supervision of, an authorized electrical installer registered with the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority (Elsäkerhetsverket). Enterpriseon OÜ holds this authorization and offers it as a B2B service to companies lacking their own authorized personnel.

The authorization means we take responsibility for the management, execution, and control of electrical installation work in accordance with Swedish regulations.

What we do as authorized electrical installer

  • Management of electrical installation work — we lead the work and ensure it is performed professionally per the high-voltage regulations (ELSÄK-FS 2022:1)
  • Review of electrical drawings and documentation — we verify that construction documentation meets applicable standards and regulations before work begins
  • Self-inspection — we perform and document the self-inspection required to verify the installation meets safety requirements
  • Installation certificate — we issue installation certificates confirming the work was performed according to applicable rules
  • Support during inspection — we coordinate with accredited inspection bodies and provide the documentation required for final inspection and handover
  • Grid operator notifications — we handle the pre-notification and completion notification required by electricity network operators

The regulatory framework

Electrical installation work in Sweden is regulated by:

  • Electrical Safety Act (2016:732) — fundamental requirements for electrical safety
  • ELSÄK-FS 2017:3 — regulations on authorization for electrical installation work
  • ELSÄK-FS 2022:1 — high-voltage regulations (installation and maintenance)
  • SS 436 40 00 — standard for electrical installations in buildings

Important distinction

An authorized electrical installer is not the same as an inspection body. We perform self-inspection and certify that the installation meets requirements, but the formal final inspection is carried out by accredited inspection companies (e.g., RISE, Kiwa, Intertek).

Enterpriseon operates under Swedish regulations regardless of operational base. Our authorization is registered with Elsäkerhetsverket and we follow the same requirements as all other authorized electrical installers in Sweden.
